I'm currently in the process of adopting from another African country, however due to political conflict, the continuation of the program is uncertain... The agency has a Uganda program. I have spent nearly 5 years in East Africa (Kenya & Tanzania mostly), but am considering Uganda if the conflict continues and a change is necessary. Thank you for your blog and the joy you've shared!

I find myself looking for a printer-friendly format of your writings to print out and underline :) !
As He has done in the past, God continues to use your writings to teach me more about Himself. Thank you for being a willing vessel for Him to use.

Thank you for sharing the journey of your Ugandan adoption here. It's such a blessing to read stories like this. My husband and I have been praying about adopting from Uganda for some time and feel like God is telling us to move forward. I would love to find out what agency you used. I know you can't post it here, would you mind sending me a private message? Thanks so much!

Oh I love this vignette into how He is working! Thank you for taking time to write it down, here. My heart cry over this writing space is that He would be made known. Thank you for your sweet encouragement!!

Just had to say thanks again. I'm back here reading again. Yet your post pushes me to pick up His sweet Word and dig in and set my alarm earlier for desperately needed quiet time at His feet. Shopping for Easter shirts for my boys today made me pass by sweet little pastel dresses and to my surprise I felt my eyes sting with tears. I am NOT a crier! But I remembered asking the Lord recently to teach me how to have a more sensitive, compassionate heart...as I am always baffled at how quickly my friends cry at other peoples pain in movies and books and real life. I love deeply but don't cry easily. So when I felt tears rise today I remembered to thank my Father and Teacher for answering that prayer through the wait and frustration and longing in this process:) Just want you to be encouraged that your story brings so many of us full circle to a teachable place.
