For Those Of You Night Owls or Early Morning Risers

This blog was originally started to chronicle our adoption. Four years and four children later, it’s become more of a writing space; however, I can’t help but think the Lord could use this place to deploy His people to pray for His children.

Tonight, Tuesday night, and through the morning, is big for us. Eight hours ahead in Ug@nda there are pieces of the puzzle being assembled to bring Lily and Hope into a family. The way may appear unclear, but we know that God promises to “set the lonely in families” and to act on behalf of the orphan.

And we know that He loves it when His people seek His face for the things on His heart.

Would you pray — if you’re awake even now — for a beautiful, mighty and swift move of the Lord?

More than anything, we desire for His name to be lifted up as the One who saves. The One who is faithful … and just.

Thank you for making this landing place a little more participatory tonight. There are two little ones half way around the world whose lives will feel the impact of your words lifted up.

Sara, Praying tonight…for all of you, especially for Lily and Hope. I’ve been wanting to email you for the past few weeks and just haven’t done it, but I will soon. I love your heart for your children. So happy to be able to pray with you.

    Sara,

A friend of mine sent me to your blog a few months ago. We are going through a really rough adoption, full of ups and downs and uncertainty. The sweet baby boy is due to be born tomorrow, but looks like he is going to be late. Your blog has been such a source of inspiration and encouragement. Thank you for pointing me back to the Man who orchestrates it all. I am praying for His perfect will in your adoption process, for precious little Hope and Lily. They would be so blessed to have you as their mother! I am praying that He moves all the puzzle pieces into their exact place. May He move swiftly and miraculously, in a way that could only be attributed to Him.

You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand. (John 13:7)

PRAYING!!!! May God move any and all obstacles, creating a clear path for those two precious girls to be united with their family! May the remainder of this path to them be clear ~ and rather short! ;) Amazing family story!

    Night Owl, praying!!!!

  10. Kelly says:

Not a night owl…and I was an early riser but didn’t get on blogs until now…but I’m praying now, knowing that God transcends time. :)

  11. Jennifer says:

Thinking of you and your little ones. May there be peace now and triumph in resolving the uncertainties very, very soon.

Praying for you and your growing family!

I am definitely late, but still praying!
